Nazareth Residence for Women and ChildrenThe Nazareth Residence was originally created as housing for the orphans of Irish soldiers who died in the Civil War. Nazareth has continued to serve the Boston community changing its focus as times required. Currently, the Nazareth Residence offers transitional housing to homeless mothers and their children with HIV/AIDS or at risk for HIV. The facility can house eight to ten families for up to two years each. Two beds are reserved for women without children. Residents must be clean and sober for at least thirty days prior to entering the program. The Nazareth Residence also offers the following services to its participants:
